Building Community
Students can enrich their collegiate experience by joining clubs, professional societies, and other organizations. Clemson University offers many ways to get involved based on personal interests or academic associations. Beyond the ones mentioned below, the College has a list of clubs and organizations by area.

Clubs & Orgs
Material Advantage (MA) - undergraduate MSE student organization that further engages with professors and networks with professionals through events such as in-person meetings or conferences.
Materials Research Society (MRS) - graduate student organization devoted to furthering graduate students' knowledge of materials via trips to the national MRS conference and the yearly materials poster competition.
OSA (Optical Society of America) - Optica and the Optica Foundation recognize student excellence through competitions, travel grants and other programs.
Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) - emphasizes the importance of academic excellence, professional development and communication and leadership skills
Society of Women Engineers (SWE) - empowers women to achieve their full potential as engineers and leaders and demonstrates the value of diversity and inclusion
Student Government
CECAS Graduate Student Advisory Board - encourages and advocates for graduate students and their well-being while being a bridge of communication to the administration at Clemson.
CECAS First-Year Student Council - council members develop leadership and team-building skills while interacting professionally with faculty, staff, and peers.
