Emeritus College Speakers' Bureau
The Advisory Board of Clemson University's Emeritus College charged their Community Outreach Committee to develop opportunities for emeritus faculty to share their knowledge and varied passions with the university and greater community. The committee placed the highest priority on the establishment of the Emeritus College Speakers' Bureau. Professional, dynamic presentations are invaluable to organizations that seek to increase the engagement of their members. The Speakers' Bureau of Clemson University Emeritus College is the point of connection for organizations to identify expertise and communicate directly with Clemson's emeritus faculty to set up professional presentations.
We envision the role of the Speakers' Bureau to include:
1) facilitation of opportunities for emeriti to connect with a broad clientele, including community organizations, non-profit organizations, educators and agencies to share the comprehensive knowledge base and expertise of our over 800 emeriti; and
2) to enhance the awareness by clientele groups around the State of the opportunity to strengthen their programs with various presentation topics that they can access from the Emeritus College.
All Emeritus College Speakers' Bureau presenters will adhere to the Clemson University Faculty Manual policies for Academic Freedom and Expression. Please view the Academic Freedom and Responsibility Information from the Clemson University Faculty Manual.
