Profile

We live in a constantly changing world with constantly new stressors constantly emerging and spreading. As a community ecologist my goal is to understand how these stressors shape community interactions as well as interact with each other. To do this I work in wetland environments and primarily work with amphibians and reptiles as well as other wetland species.

Research Interests

My research interests focus on how species deal with and adapt to stress in a changing world. With this I have focuses in ecotoxicology, disease ecology, and community ecology. I am interested in how species deal with multiple stressors concurrently and the trade-offs in mitigating these factors. My recent interests and work include the 1) the effects of fungicides on aquatic systems, 2) species response to pathogens, specifically fungal pathogens and microbes, and 3) the interaction of disease and contamination in community interactions.
