Profile
I am a Research Associate working under Dr. Bo Song. My work is assisting in research studying disturbance events (hurricanes, fire, sea level rise, etc.) affecting forest landscapes and the response of the forest to these events. Through the use of environmental models and 3D visualizations the outcomes and effects of these disturbance events can be shown years into the future, allowing landowners and concerned citizens to make informed forest management decisions. My early work was with producing 3D visualizations in the form of still images and animated sequences to help convey these results to interested parties. Recently I have become more involved with helping develop environment models that helps predict these events, namely Southern Pine Beetle outbreaks.
