Dr. Baker Sprowl is Special Projects Coordinator for “Coming Together.” Coming Together features a civil dialogue process that assists participants with improving their communication and listening skills with emphasis on greater understanding of how people from all walks of life view race, racial equity, and opportunities within their communities. The program content includes training on Fundamentals of Facilitation, Listening to Learn and Understand, Using Common Language, Debate vs. Dialogue and much more.

Prior to becoming Special Projects Coordinator, she coordinated systems for collection of data to achieve requirements for accountability documents and submitted annual university, state, and federal accountability reports. She also assessed the training needs of Extension agents. She developed and used a competency based professional development model to train Extension employees.

Extension and Outreach

Selected to participate in the CU Staff Development Program. Collaborated with University Associate Director of Sustainability to determine an appropriate method to share environmental sustainability information with students in the residence halls/apartment areas. Developed an evaluation instrument to determine if students gained enough information to make personal behavioral changes. Administered a sustainability assessment. Compiled and summarized the report, which was shared with units across the campus. Coordinated the Green EXPO, which was a part of the Clemson University Teach-In for Environmental Solutions.

Graduate student consultant for Master's Thesis, Planning for the Future by Analyzing the Past: Trends in the Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service - Examined Using Public Service Activity Goal Accomplishment Indicators.
