Profile

William Hardee joined Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service in June of 2013. Hardee is the State Extension Tobacco Specialist and Area Agronomy Agent for Horry and Marion Counties. With over 300 producers and a combined 114,000 acres of row-crop production, Hardee spends a good deal of time in the field helping growers with pest management and many other agronomic issues. As a native of Horry County, Hardee is familiar with the community and many of the agricultural problems they face on a daily basis. He is able to assist his growers by providing them with research based information as a Certified Crop Adviser (CCA), and offering crop production meetings that inform them of new technologies, practices and methods.
