Profile
Htet Lin Naing is a Ph.D. student in Forest Resources working with Dr. Geoff Wang for the climate-smart forestry project in Clemson. His concentration is Silviculture, focusing on carbon forestry and multiple ecosystem services. He also had a background in Forest Biometrics, building growth and yield models relative to the neighborhood competition in the Pacific Northwest Coast Range, during his master's thesis.
Research Interests
He is investigating the pivotal role of different Silvicultural practices under climate-smart forestry in the Southeastern US. He is studying standard carbon accounting protocols in the U.S. and aiming to apply them in his research. His research objective is to maximize the synergies and minimize the trade-offs among different ecosystem services, including carbon, during his journey of climate-smart forestry.
