Profile
For over 30 years I conducted multidisciplinary research in the area of optimizing the sustainability of producing bioenergy and agronomic crops in South Carolina. I also oversee and coordinate the school and public education programs related to advances in science and technologies in agriculture, forestry, and the natural resources.
Research Interests
Enhancing the environmental and economic sustainability of bioenergy and agronomic crop production in South Carolina.
Extension and Outreach
I oversee the educational programs related to developing science curriculums for use by K-12 students that address the science teaching standards using the food, agricultural, natural resources, and health/nutrition sciences as the teaching tools. Emphasis is on developing programs that integrate the school science programs, 4H, and the SC Ag Education Program.
