Profile
Dr. Rossi is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Food, Nutrition, and Packaging Sciences Department. She holds a doctorate in Plant and Environmental Sciences and a Master’s degree in Food, Nutrition, and Culinary Sciences from Clemson University. She leads and assists staff oversight of Dr. Parisi’s EXCITE and VA grants.
Research Interests
Dr. Rossi is the project manager of two research projects: “Understanding vaccine hesitancy of Hispanic adults living in rural areas of South Carolina. Dr. Rossi presented their work at the 2022 National Conference for Immunization Coalitions and Partnerships (September 13-15, 2022). The second research project Dr. Rossi is involved in leading is “Understanding the health and mental health needs of veterans and their spouses living in rural areas of South Carolina”
Extension and Outreach
From August 2021-August 2022, Dr. Rossi coordinated and establish partnerships with organizations to schedule COVID-19 vaccine/testing clinics for the Healthy Me, Healthy SC coalition in the Upstate Region of South Carolina. Her focus was on the Hispanic Community.
