Profile

Stephanie S. Li is the Executive Assistant for Research at the Baruch Institute for Coastal Ecology and Forest Science (BICEFS). Her position is split between administrative/fiscal tasks for the institute and research in the late Dr. Mažeika Patricio Sulliván's Streams, Rivers, and Estuaries (STRIVE) Lab.

Stephanie grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and then completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the University of California San Diego. Advised by Dr. Jon Shurin, her Master's thesis focused on ecosystem structure and function in Yosemite National Park, California. Before her time at Clemson University, she was a research assistant at The Ohio State University. She has conducted aquatic research in a variety of regions including in high alpine lakes in California, mangroves in Costa Rica, and streams in the Midwestern USA.
