Clemson Summer Camps and Programs
Parking and Transportation Services (PATS) manages and distributes parking permits and maps for summer programs. Program directors MUST COMPLETE the online request form at least TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF THE START of the summer program. All permits are distributed from the PATS office during normal business hours once the Program Director receives notification of order completion. Parking arrangements to consider are:
- Check-in/check-out
- Program staff parking
- Participant parking
- Special event parking
Parking Options
All requests for permits must be received two weeks prior to the start of the camp. Program Directors are responsible for requesting and distributing parking permits to all program staff and participants. The only exception is for currently employed or enrolled individuals at Clemson University. They must purchase their own parking permits or use an existing 2024-2025 annual permit.
CAMPUS PERIMETER PARKING PERMITS
Staff and participants may receive a temporary parking permit for the duration of the program to park in designated, perimeter parking areas. Requests are made through the online form only. All requests must be received at least 14 days prior to the start of the program.

ALL persons (visitors and permit holders) are REQUIRED to pay the meter from 7 AM to 10 PM seven days a week. Metered parking is $2.25 per hour.
Be sure to read the regulation signs. Some meter locations are for visitors only while others are accessible to both Clemson University parking permit holders (CUPH) and visitors. If a participant purchases or receives a summer permit, they are subject to the permit holder time limit at the metered locations.
Clemson Sponsored Programs
How to Obtain Permits
State money cannot be used to pay for employee or student parking permits. Thus IDOs cannot be used to pay for student or employee parking permits, by decree of the University auditors. Individuals employed at Clemson University or enrolled students must individually purchase parking permits or use their existing 2023-2024 Annual Permit.
Program Directors may request parking permits for non-University employees, students and guests by doing the following:
- Submit the Summer Permit Request Form at least two week prior to the event. You will need the following information:
- Number of Perimeter Permits (free). View the perimeter parking map.
- Number of Interior Permits (charged at $4 per permit per day)
- Chartfield String (account number) to use to pay for any Interior Permits
- Program Director will receive a notification when the permits are ready for pick up.
- Program Director will come to Parking and Transportation Services during normal business hours to pick up the permits. If Interior permits were requested, an IDO will be processed for the cost of the permits.
- Program Director will distribute all permits and maps to staff and participants.
Current Employees
If camp staff or participant is a current employee of Clemson University may use their current 2023-2024 parking permit to park on campus.
If they do not have a current permit, that individual must purchase their own parking permit using Manage My Account and logging in with their Clemson credentials. If no permits are available under Manage My Account, the individual must come into the PATS office to purchase their permit.
Enrolled Students
Enrolled Clemson students will need to either use their 2023-2024 academic year parking permit or purchase a permit for the summer to park on campus.
All student permits are valid in all student spaces from Monday, May 13 - Friday, August 9, 2024. If a commuter student becomes a resident counselor, they may continue to use their current commuter parking permit in resident areas. Note there is no overnight parking in C-1 parking lot. Carpool spaces require a carpool permit and are enforced throughout the summer.
