Visitor Permits
A visitor is a guest at Clemson University’s campus who is not enrolled or employed by the University in any manner (ie., faculty, staff, students, vendors or contractors of the University). Visitors who bring cars to the Clemson University campus must park their vehicles in accordance with the campus parking rules and regulations.
Visitor permits are available for purchase online seven days a week and online after hours at the Clemson University Police Department located at 124 Ravenel Center Place. All visitor permits are nonrefundable and may be purchased with debit or credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express).
Visitor Parking Options
- Metered Parking for $2.75 per hour- No Permit Required.
- Daily Weekday Visitor Permits - Permit purchased online for $8 per day.
- Weekend Visitor Permits - Permit purchased online for $10 per weekend (excludes home football game weekends).
- Departmental Guest Permits - Permits purchased by a department for a guest for $8 per day.
Metered Parking
Visitors are encouraged to park at over 400 conveniently located metered visitor parking spaces on campus without the need to obtain a permit. Meters can be paid with quarters, $1 bills, credit and debit cards or via the Flowbird App for touchless payment.

Need to Park Temporarily to Load or Unload a Vehicle?
You can park in a metered space or come to Parking & Transportation Services and receive a one-hour Loading/Unloading zone permit. Meters must be paid to park. You may obtain temporary permission after business hours from the University Police Department by calling 864-656-2222.
Daily Weekday Visitor Permits (Online)
Visitors can purchase daily weekday permits online for $8 per day and print them for use on campus.
To purchase a weekday visitor permit online, use a valid email address and the make, model, year, color and license plate of your vehicle to create a Guest Account.
If you are a returning visitor after creating a guest account, go to clemson.edu/parking and click on Manage My Account to purchase subsequent weekday visitor permits.
Individuals can purchase permits up to 14 days in advance for designated lots. The designated lots are located directly on CATbus routes, which serve the east and west sides of campus, so you can decide which lot to park in. Transportation service will be provided to and from these lots from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Weekend Visitor Permits (Online)
Visitors who come to campus on weekends (excluding home football game weekends) can purchase an online weekend visitor permit for $10.00.
The weekend permit allows you to park in unrestricted employee and student parking spaces for the entire weekend from 4:30 p.m. on Friday through 7 a.m. on Monday.
To purchase a weekend visitor permit online, create a Guest Account by entering a valid email address and providing the make, model year, color and license plate of your vehicle. Then complete the purchase process.
If you return to campus as a visitor after creating your guest account, go to clemson.edu/parking and click on Manage My Account to procure another visitor permit.
Individuals can purchase Weekend Visitor permits up to four weekends in advance.
