Office of Access Compliance and Education

Procurement Inclusion

Clemson University embraces inclusion in all aspects of its functions, including the use of diverse businesses. The Office of Access Compliance and Education has the responsibility of coordinating efforts under the University’s Diversity Procurement Initiative. The following is a statement from the Diversity Procurement Initiative:

Clemson University endorses and adopts the State of South Carolina’s goal of ensuring that minority-owned businesses represent a minimum of 10 percent of state agency procurement contracts. As Clemson expands its research and academic presence across the state, these developments should reflect a similar level of diversity.

Here is a list of S.C. certified minority businesses through the South Carolina Division of Small and Minority Business Contracting and Certification (SMBCC).

Small Business Support and Development

You can be part of Clemson’s work to support small businesses by incorporating our small business collaboration resources into your workflow.

Support for Campus Partners

If you are a campus partner, we encourage you to contact our Procurement Inclusion Manager or view the resources we have compiled to contract with diverse small business owners.

Business Opportunities

Clemson University engages in outreach efforts to diverse business owners to announce business opportunities at all Clemson University locations (which include the main campus and all extension sites) for procured services, architecture and engineering and capital projects on and off-campus, both public and private. Clemson welcomes participation from diverse businesses, including those certified as women, minorities, veterans, LGBTQ and small and disadvantaged business enterprises.
