Human Capital Education and Development - Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (Open Rank)
Department of Educational and Organizational Leadership Development
Clemson University’s College of Education is seeking applications for an open-rank, nine-month tenure track/tenured faculty position in Human Capital Education and Development. The ideal candidate will have expertise in workplace learning, organizational change, and career development and demonstrated expertise in working with adult learners. The undergraduate major in Human Capital Education and Development prepares students to improve any workplace through its people. Human capital is a process of improving employee learning, performance, health and well-being. Our graduates develop the knowledge and skills to lead strategic approaches to attract, develop, and lead talent. Graduates of this program hold positions in training and development, human resources, career and talent development, strategic organization development, and/or workforce and community development.
The program is designed for and offers a variety of pathways including a transfer pathway and an accelerated bachelor’s-to-master’s degree in human resource development (HRD). Key factors to student success include:
- Students choose between face-to-face, online, or Hy-Flex learning modalities to best meet their learning needs.
- Students interact with industry leaders, who are deeply involved with the program, as visiting instructors and speakers and in supporting real-world and capstone projects and internships.
- Students receive exemplary support and experiences, including career-building workshops, student engagement events, undergraduate research opportunities and one-on-one faculty and staff support.

Rural Education - Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (Open Rank)
Clemson University College of Education invites applications for multiple full-time (9 month) open-rank tenured and tenure-track faculty positions for a cluster hire in Rural Education. The College endeavors to recruit a team and/or individual faculty members to complement existing faculty expertise and contribute to the College’s growing national reputation in Rural Education.
This innovative hiring strategy reflects our commitment to expanding research and teaching capacity in addressing educational challenges and opportunities in rural, economically disadvantaged, and underserved communities. We seek individual scholars and/or a team with diverse methodological approaches and a strong interdisciplinary focus to complement the College’s existing faculty expertise in rural education. Appointments will be made in the academic department that most closely aligns with the faculty member’s area(s) of expertise.

Department of Education and Human Development
Clemson University College of Education invites applications for multiple full-time (9 month) open-rank tenured and tenure-track faculty positions for a cluster hire in Learning Sciences with research expertise in one or more of the following Educational Data Science and Analytics, AI and Education, and Advanced Quantitative Research, Measurement and Evaluation. We seek dynamic and innovative scholars who will contribute to a growing community of scholars focused on the intersection of technology, data science, education, and educational research and evaluation.
After ten years of steady growth, the Learning Sciences program in the department of Education and Human Development (EHD) in Clemson University’s College of Education is emerging as a national leader in educational psychology-applied developmental science and quantitative research, measurement and evaluation. Our interdisciplinary faculty are significantly contributing to the fields of education and learning. We are seeking colleagues to strengthen our program in the areas of educational applications of emerging technologies, and advanced quantitative methods and evaluation.
The Department of Educational and Human Development is home to the College’s Quantitative Clinic and future home to a statewide center for educational research and evaluation. The current clinic provides statistical and methodological support to faculty and graduate students. In the future, it will expand its services to include statistical consulting services, methodological training, opportunities for research collaborations, and measurement and evaluation services. Some faculty in this cluster hire will contribute to expanding the leadership, services, and impact of the College’s Quantitative Clinic.
To grow the College’s capacity to pursue a robust program of research in the field of Learning Sciences, the College endeavors to recruit a team and/or individual faculty to complement existing faculty expertise in the department and College, including:
