External Affairs

The Division of External Affairs grew out of President Clements and the Clemson University's Board of Trustees' vision for a single office that laser-focuses on resourcing leadership priorities and initiatives. This unified office serves state and federal partners who want to see big research ideas with industry relevance, industry collaborators who want to maximize government partnership opportunities and Clemson students who are developing into future workforce leaders.

Our Impact

We work with the South Carolina General Assembly, United States Congress, public agencies and community decision-makers through the Clemson Advocates Program to promote investments in programs and initiatives that positively impact both industries and the people they serve. Our office is committed to building relationships between academics, industry leaders and policy makers to improve the lives of people in South Carolina and beyond.
