INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS, POST-DOCS & VISITORS

Electron Microscopy at Clemson University is using an online system to streamline the process of ordering and billing for core service requests. All facility users are invited to use the system, which requires a one-time registration as discussed below. Once you are registered, the system will enable you to place service requests, provide required approvals, and monitor progress.

Other Information

Memory Storage

USB flash drives will be required for data storage as computers associated with instruments are not connected to internet. Before using flash drive in facility computers to copy and store your data, IT IS REQUIRED THAT ALL USERS SCAN THEIR USB DRIVES TO CHECK AND SEE IF VIRUS & MALWARE REMOVAL ARE DONE FROM THEIR DRIVES. The computer for these virus removal scans is located in TM3000 instrument room.

Publications/Images/Acknowledgments

We encourage users with publications using EM Lab work forward us an electronic copy. We plan to create a library of research database. If corresponding authors allow, EM Facility would like to receive “unique images/data” collected using EM Facility resources that may be displayed around for visibility.
Standard facility acknowledgement that may be worded as, “The authors acknowledge usage of some capabilities located at Electron Microscopy Facility within Clemson University Division of Research for some portion of research work discussed in this paper.”
For your safety, please pay attention to and follow all safety signs posted around the lab. Please let our staff know if there are any questions.
