Courses Taught
After participating in the President's Leadership Institute (PLI), Legette was inspired to develop the Extension Emerging Leadership Initiative (EELI)in 2018 for Extension professionals interested in developing their leadership knowledge and skills. The program has 50 graduates from CU Extension Service, CU College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Life Sciences (CAFLS), and SC State University 1890 Research and Extension.

Profile
Deon Legette began her career with Clemson as a Family and Consumer Sciences agent in Lexington County where she served adult and youth audiences for fifteen years. As her career advanced, she transferred to Kershaw County where she served ten years as Regional Lead Agent, Food Safety/Nutrition agent, and 4-H Youth Development agent. She also served as the Midlands District Director for five years and Assistant Extension Director for Personnel Management for four years.
She is a member of the state and national Extension Associations of Family and Consumer Sciences and the state and national Associations of Epsilon Sigma Phi Extension fraternity.
