Faculty Overview
Dr. Valery N. Bliznyuk, Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry of Polymers from the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; D.Sc. (habilitate) degree in Polymer Chemistry from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine. Dr. Bliznyuk is a Research Associate Professor in Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences. He is a co-author of more than 170 peer-reviewed publications and several reviews in the field of nanostructured polymer materials. His present research is focused on the development of advanced polymer materials for radiation detectors, plastic scintillators and radionuclide sensors. He has extended expertise in printed electronics and photovoltaics, self-assembly of organic and inorganic nanoparticles, methods of fabrication and structural characterization of polymer-based nanocomposites.
