Update Your Information

  • Update Your Personal Information

    Active Employees

    1. Access my.clemson.edu
    2. Click the silhouette in the upper right corner of the page to log in to your my.clemson profile
    3. Click your photo (which should appear where the silhouette was previously) and select “My Profile”
    4. Select the information you would like to update

      For Addresses:

      1. Select “Addresses”
      2. Select the address(es) you would like to edit, then click the edit button
      3. Update your address and click the “Save” button when finished

      For Phone Numbers:

      1. Select “Phone Numbers”
      2. Select the phone number(s) you would like to edit, then click the edit button
      3. Update your phone number and click the “Save” button when finished

      For Emergency Contacts:

      1. Select “Emergency Contacts”
      2. Select the emergency contact(s) you would like to edit, then click the edit button
      3. Update your emergency contact and click the “Save” button when finished

      For Preferred Name:

      1. Select “Name”
      2. Select “Set a preferred name”
      3. Review the information, select “I Agree,” enter your preferred name and select “Save”

    Inactive Employees

    1. Access Change of Address Form for inactive employees
    2. Complete all fields within the form and select “Submit”

    Important: The links above affect your records at Clemson University only. Contact the agencies and organizations administering your specific benefits to update your address with them directly. See below for more information.

  • Update Your Business Information

    Access the Change of Business Information Form to update office/business location and/or phone number. Please allow 3-4 business days for the change to appear in the online phonebook.

  • Update Your Legal Name

    Faculty, Staff and Student Workers

    Faculty and staff can use one of the following options to update their legal name on file with the Office of Human Resources:

    • Visit the Administrative Services Building during regular business hours, and be sure to bring your Social Security Card reflecting the new name.
    • In the orange drop box outside the Administrative Services Building, drop a copy of your updated Social Security Card along with a note that references the current last name on file and requests to update your name.
    • Mail a copy of your updated Social Security Card to the Office of Human Resources. Along with the updated Social Security Card, provide a note which includes the currently listed last name and requests to update your name.

    • Do not email a copy of your Social Security Card or Social Security Number.

    Students

    Students must follow the legal name change procedure provided by Records and Registration.

  • Update Your Preferred Name

    Faculty, staff and students can manage their preferred name through my.clemson.edu:

    1. Log into my.Clemson using your Clemson credentials
    2. Click your profile picture and select “My Profile”
    3. Select “Name”
    4. Select “Set a preferred name”
    5. Review the information, select “I Agree,” enter your preferred name and select “Save”
  • Update Your Information with Your Benefits Vendors

    In addition to updating your address on file with the University, be sure to contact the agencies and/or organizations administering your specific benefits to update your address with them directly.

    *Name changes cannot be made online through MyBenefits or Member Access. To update your name on file with PEBA for state insurance and/or retirement, complete and submit the Name/Address Change form to PEBA.
