Keyboard

Keyboard

Some people may use the keyboard or alternative techniques instead of a mouse to interact with a computer.

Accessible software supports several aspects of keyboard navigation:

  • A visual indication of focus shows where you are on a page.
  • As you navigate the page, focus moves in a logical order.
  • Components do not require the use of a mouse.
  • Software does create a "keyboard trap" where keyboard focus becomes "stuck," preventing navigation.
