Enrollment and Degree Verifications

Whether it’s for insurance, student loans or future employment opportunities, you can easily verify your Clemson University enrollment status through the National Student Clearinghouse.

Visit the National Student Clearinghouse

Please note that the National Student Clearinghouse cannot provide you or a third party with information on specific courses that you have taken or grades that you have earned. Your courses and grades are only available on your official transcript.

Follow the instructions below based on your enrollment status and student category to get started.

Enrollment Status for Loan Deferment

If you are a current student at the University and have student loans, you will stay in deferred status so long as you are enrolled at least half-time. If you have Federal student loans, the National Student Clearinghouse automatically verifies your enrollment status for each term. This means that although you will receive your deferment form in the mail, you will not have to bring in your deferment form or take any further action.

If your parent(s) holds a PLUS loan, or another loan to pay for your education, you must bring all forms to the Registrar's Office as the National Student Clearinghouse only works with student loans.
