Scheduling

Schedule planning is an ongoing cycle. While departments are actively engaged in the current term, they also need to be planning for the next term’s course offerings. Because only a limited amount of time is available for departments to input their course offerings each term, it is critical for planning and preparations to take place well in advance of the schedule building phase officially opening for that term. You can reference the Schedule Building Timeline for more information and important scheduling dates.

To assist in this effort, we have put together suites of reports relative to each phase of scheduling that are great resources for departments to use through each of the scheduling phases. These reports can be found on Data and Reporting.

Schedule Building Timeline

Each semester, the Records and Registration staff provides a schedule-building timeline to guide faculty through course preparation and registration processes. This timeline outlines key deadlines for class planning, student registration, and room assignments.

Schedule Edit and Review

This checklist guides registration coordinators in building course schedules using Banner forms and related reports. It outlines essential resources, error-checking reports, and steps to ensure accurate course setup, reducing registration issues for students.

Compliance

Clemson University’s scheduling compliance guidelines ensure efficient use of classroom spaces while supporting faculty instructional needs and maximizing student access to courses. Faculty are encouraged to follow these standards when planning classes requiring university classrooms for the next semester.

Classroom Assignments

Faculty must use the University’s scheduling tool, 25Live, to prepare courses requiring on-campus meeting spaces. This web application, best accessed through Google Chrome or Safari, supports room scheduling, event planning, and course management efficiently.

Registration Key Dates

We outline the key dates and important milestones for registration, waitlist management, and orientation preparation. These include deadlines for turning waitlists on or off, time ticket changes, and course registration periods for each upcoming academic term.
