Application
Stationary Standards
Clemson’s stationery standards are designed with the primary goals being brand consistency and streamlined implementation of brand color and typography.
Letterhead
Standard logo placement on letterhead is top left, nested within 1-inch margins.
The unit name and contact information on the stationery design are located at the bottom of the page, allowing for a wider usable area for text and eliminating the sidebar from the previous design. This format allows for more flexibility in the number of lines that can be used in the contact information section. Unit names, addresses, contact methods, social media handles and URLs are all acceptable to include.
Technical Details
-
College/division/department/unit name should be set between 7-8 pt with automatic leading in Trade Gothic Next LT — Bold Condensed in all caps in Diploma color.
-
College/school/center/division address, phone and contact methods should be between 7-8 pt with automatic leading in Trade Gothic Next LT — Condensed in Diploma color.
-
Unit name and contact information text frame should be aligned bottom to the 1.125” margin.
-
A 0.5 pt Clemson Orange stroke should sit 0.25” above the first line of text.
Level System Requirements for Letterhead:
LEVEL 1 BRANDS: The use of any Level 1 mark is acceptable on letterhead, but the primary "CLEMSON" wordmark is preferred.
LEVEL 2 BRANDS: The use of Level 2 marks is only permitted by organizations approved to use Level 2 marks, such as the Office of the President or the Board of Trustees.
LEVEL 3 BRANDS: For academic and nonacademic units with approved Level 3 logos, there are two options for branded letterhead:
-
An approved Level 3 mark can be used in the primary logo position.
-
A Level 1 mark can be used in conjunction with a specific college/division/department/unit name and contact section in the footer.
LEVEL 4 BRANDS: The use of approved Level 4 marks on letterhead is acceptable as long as they identify with a college/division/department/unit in the footer.
LEVEL 5 BRANDS: The use of approved Level 5 marks on letterhead is permitted, along with the use of the color scheme of the Level 5 brand for the divider stroke and text in the footer.
Business Card
